Spreckels Performing Arts Center

Spreckels Performing Arts Center is a popular performance theater and education center in Rohnert Park, CA, since 1990. The website had been neglected over time and inexperienced staff had the difficult job of maintaining and building on a bloated and fragmented system.
A complete rebuild from scratch was contracted for, that included an advanced modular theme for WordPress with Advanced Custom Fields employed to enter content once in tidy fields for easy entry by staff to multi-publish content in various layouts throughout the site automatically.
The project included a multi-month job of auditing all content, culling old information, rewriting copy, simplifying design and consistency in style, installing and configuring a minimal set of plugins, comprehensive template creation for repeating content, and much more.
The result is a cleaner and modern website on all devices to forefront information the audience needs most while streamlining content creation and management over the short and long term.
Ongoing maintenance, security monitoring, and client follow-up help to keep a smooth system running with the least friction for a busy team who love theater and performance over struggling with content and computers.
